At 17 months

Whenever it's nearing your doctor appointments, I recollect how you've developed because the doctors want to know the information.

Many who spend more time with you come to realise that you can be a very chatty little girl. You're always making sounds, saying and repeating words, and you're also very entertaining because you break out into your dances/actions when you hear certain songs (especially when we play the Sing Sing application on Papa's iphone).

Your all-time favourite word is of course... mummy! And I love it especially when you sing it to the tune of 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star'! (you also do that with other people's names and things that you like. so cute!) And elmo comes pretty close because you really like the sesame street songs so once you see the computer/laptop/iphone, you'd call out for 'elmo'! (think you'll be having an elmo-themed party this year... heh...) You love in particular elmo's ABC song, feist 1234, outdoors by jason mraz and the Tilly ABC song. Of course 'jie jie' and 'papa' are your favourite word too and 'walk' as well - your favourite activity especially on stairs! (though I wish you would prefer to sit down and read... haha...).

You can say more than 90 words now with actual reference (new additions include hello, gate, milk, pasta, biscuit, up, sit, stand, eat, sleep, cook, hand, put, plate, bed, cot, head, cheek, eyes, clothes, skirt, square, cat, chair, stool, thumb, two, star, me, I, blue, box, shoes, socks, xie xie, 'gou' for dog in mandarin, teeth, hug, poo poo, pee pee, 'gu gu' for aunty in mandarin, 'gong gong' for grandpa in mandarin, 'kor kor' for older brother in mandarin, 'mei mei' for little sister in mandarin, aunty, uncle and even aunty azizah's name!, as well as jah - jie jie's good friend.) as well as repeating other words that we say like 'active'!

Even by 15 months, you could say your own name in response to the question 'What's your name?'. And when we ask 'How old are you?', you would point your index finger up. :) I hope I can find the video to post the link here soon. (Sorry mummy doesn't have that much time to sort through all the videos and photos because we don't have that much help around.)

You even took 1-2 independent steps before you got to me today! So excited to see when you'll be walking on your own! But you are still a little unsteady so hope you'll learn to balance yourself properly before you actually walk or else we'll be so worried that you might be prone to falls.
